American Trigger Sports Network founder James B. Towle, host and executive producer of Stop The Threat, a popular television show focusing on armed self-defense, has announced the March 2015 lineup.

Now in its fifth season on the Sportsman Channel and the Pursuit Channel, Stop The Threat features dramatic reenactments of true-crime incidents portraying different life-threatening scenarios. After viewing each weekly episode’s taped re-enactment, Towle moderates a live panel of law enforcement and firearms experts who analyze the scenario, offering their professional perspective.

Stop The Threat’s March episodes kick off on Monday, March 2 with “Walking Robbery” in which a thief approaches an unassuming man walking down the street. Special guest panelist Lt. Dan Marcou, a 33-year law-enforcement veteran and trainer, and author of a series of police novels, repsonds.

The March 9 episode, “Targeted Invasion” depicts three men who force their way into the house of a “friend”, intending to rob his safe of cash and guns and then kill him. Lt. Donn E. Gallahue, who spent 25 year with the Florida Sheriffs Department, provides insight as a special guest panelist.

In the March 16 episode, “Runaway Purse”, a bystander intervenes when thieves in a moving vehicle attempt to snatch a shopper’s purse as she walks to the entrance to her neighborhood mall. Alan Watson, former supervisor for the Georgia Bureau of Investigations who is presently an investigator for the Sheriff’s Department there, joins the panel to offer his expertise.

Since the program’s inception in 2008, an estimated 5 million viewers have tuned in to Stop The Threat to learn ‘best response’ skills and techniques from professionals, and how to defend themselves, their families, and their property if targeted by assailants.

Towle receives as many as 50 emails every day from Stop The Threatviewers who appreciate the program’s “food for thought for armed citizens,” as one viewer writes.

“They ask questions like ‘What gun should I buy?’ or they’ll comment on the episodes, sharing their own experiences,” Towle says.

“I sincerely hope that neither I nor my sons will ever be faced with the necessity of using our weapons,” another viewer writes. “But I take comfort in knowing that we are prepared to the fullest extent possible to protect ourselves and our families if the need should ever arise.”

Towle answers each email, himself.

“The emails are so complimentary about the education we are providing gun owners that it becomes the motivation that drives my day,” he says.

Stop The Threat airs Wednesday night on The Hunt Channel at 8:00PM central time (Dish Network 266) and Friday night on Pursuit Channel at 8:00 p.m., central time (DirecTV Channel 604/Dish network 393).
