“Shoplifting Complex” depicts a real crime scene reenacted for a panel of expert guests moderated for a discussion by host James B. Towle. Guests this episode include internationally recognized firearms, tactics, and use of force instructor, Wes Doss, PhD, Illinois senior patrolman and firearms instructor Rich Portwood, and veteran Sergeant Duncan Stewart, as they analyze what happens in this incident. In this crime scene, a shoplifter is seen taking items and running from a store. An undercover officer chases the shoplifter and tackles her, at which time she screams, “Rape!” Passersby read the scene much differently than it occurred. Each episode of ATSN’s Stop the Threat mentally prepares viewers for situations in case they are confronted with the unexpected.
