Bush, Garett


Garett Bush is a senior investigator with the Los Angeles Police Department, with over 19 years of law enforcement experience. He is currently assigned to the Crisis Response Support Section (CRSS) and is a member of the LAPD SWAT Crisis Negotiation Cadre. During his years with CRSS, Investigator Bush has performed over 5,000 crisis interventions, dealing with the mentally ill population. He is published in several law enforcement publications and in the California POST Portal. Along with being a published writer Mr. Bush holds a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice/Homeland Security and is the owner/operator of the TAC-COM Institute.

Mr. Bush is a POST Certified Instructor and has trained crisis negotiations to law enforcement professionals from other countries such as: Australia, U.K., and Canada, as well as from the Federal, State, tribal and local levels.
